Call for Abstracts
The Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital invites you to submit an abstract for a poster presentation at the pre-conference symposium, Innovations 2007. Our aim is to showcase innovative strategies for the translation of fundamental science to clinical application in the area of balance and locomotor rehabilitation. The conference will be attended by approximately 300 international researchers, trainees and health care professionals with an interest in balance and locomotor rehabilitation.
Conference Objectives
- Provide a forum for an international and interdisciplinary exchange for bridging the gap between basic and clinical research in the area of balance and locomotor rehabilitation.
- Create opportunities for networking on current research, clinical programs, and service delivery in the area of balance and locomotor rehabilitation.
- Explore diverse and innovative ways of translating research findings into clinical practice.
- Find new ways to assess and improve balance and locomotor functions after an injury to the central nervous system.
- Emphasize cortical and spinal control of posture and locomotion, and on new rehabilitation technologies that are shown to be effective in improving function.
Guideline for abstract submission
Submitted abstracts should be 250 words or less and should include:
- Title, Authors, Organization and Affiliations, Address.
- Purpose, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
Please note the following:
- The findings submitted for this conference should be original and not duplicated from other accepted presentations.
- Poster boards measure 4 feet in height and 8 feet in length.
- Presenting author needs to be a research trainee (MSc, PhD, Post doctoral) or a clinician.
- All presenters are responsible for their expenses, including travel, accommodations and conference costs.
- Prizes awarded for the best poster presentations.
